The Brigantine family of restaurants has been pleasing San Diego palates for years, and the Coronado location is one of the best among them. Right across the street from the celebrated Hotel Del Coronado, the Coronado Brigantine is composed of three dining rooms, Emerald Room, the Monte Carlo Room and the Del View Room, as well as a lounge with an outdoor cocktail deck, perfect for savoring those sunny summer days. The menu is inundated with Pacific-themed selections, but with a twist. The sourdough-encrusted sea bass is served atop roasted eggplant salsa. The innovative Napa Valley Nachos feature house-made potato chips topped by blue cheese and smoked bacon. Healthy types will rejoice over the California-grown artichokes stuffed with crab & wild shrimp salad, before sharing a bottle of red from the extensive wine list.

I had given our server Summer kudos for her gracious, friendly service. She checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. I'm asking the staff to give her special recognition for doing a fine job! Thanks

Added 08/31/07 Not impressed with The Brig

I was not too impressed with the Brigantine in Coronado. It was more like an upscale Dennys. The food was bland and the ambiance was depressing. The motif is dark, but not appealing, rather uninviting.
