Now that the secret’s out, Confidential is fast becoming one of the Gaslamp’s hottest stops for quick meals and extended lounging. The tasty tapas menu ensures your table will be so satisfied, you’ll almost forget to check out the fabulous crowd and ultra-chic interior. Because of the surfeit of selections, the best strategy is to order an assortment for your party to share. Noteworthy cold choices include ginger-spiced cashews, nicoise salad with grilled ahi, marinated olives, and beef carpaccio. For a little more heat, try the miso-glazed salmon, coca-cola glazed pork ribs, mini smoked bacon quesadillas, or the vegetarian goat cheese pizza. Still not enough flavor? The bartenders expertly shake up creative specialty drinks, like the Cactus Flower Margarita and the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, which will thrill the most jaded palates.
