Capriotti's Sandwich Shop SDSU
Lois Margolet grew up in the Little Italy neighborhood of Wilmington, Delaware, and dreamt of opening her own sandwich shop. In efforts to be unique and stand out amongst great competition, the new Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop concept was to capture the hearts of "real turkey lovers" by roasting whole fresh turkeys overnight. They then served sandwiches made-to-order with fresh roasted pulled turkey, the best quality meats and cheeses, and fresh rolls and produce delivered daily.
Years later in San Diego, the Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop in Mission Valley quickly became a local favorite for real-deal sandwiches, as well as catering for private parties and special events. We recommend The Bobbie with homemade turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo; the SlawBeJo with homemade roast beef, provolone cheese, Russian dressing, cole slaw and mayo; and the Grilled Italian with flavorful Italian meats grilled with melted provolone cheese and hot peppers.
Capriotti's Sandwich Shop's third San Diego location is now open by SDSU. It is one of the largest spaces of the over 80-locations across twelve states. For college students, the new Capriotti’s spot will be an ideal eating hub. And for College Area residents, the added location means even more ways to get the signature subs.
