Cantina Mayahuel

Friends of ours took us to this restaurant for my birthday on Friday night. We arrived at 5:30 before the crowds and were seated at a quaint table on the patio. We were fortunate that their special of Mole Chicken was on the menu this evening and ordered it out of curiosity of the dozens on ingredients and recommendations. We also ordered a margarita made with the tequeila recommended by our server, Tonio. The tequila is all of excellent quality starting at $7.00 for a shot, add $1.50 if you prefer a margarita. Worth every penny. When our Mole arrived it was a delight to look at - a heart shaped piece of chicken drizzled with mole sauce, dark on 1/2, light on the other. The taste was superb. Being personally greeted by one of the restaurants partners, Aaron was an added treat. We'll be going back and taking our friends with us.

My boyfriend and I go here all the time. We live downtown and like to get out of tourist-ville for good, authentic food and drinks. Delicious, simple food, good prices, tons of tequila selection, and awesome ambiance. I've been there with a wild drinking group and with quiet grandparents. Everyone loved it.
