If you think that New York style pizza is simply large, tabletop sized pizzas with little taste and lots of grease, then you haven’t visited Bronx Pizza.
At Bronx Pizza, you’ll find yourself transported to the Bronx, with boxing paraphernalia adorning the walls, a line of hungry clients out the door, and New York attitude behind the counter.
All pizza pies are 18”, which will feed three or four people. And if you have more or less in your group? Order by the slice. Calzones are also on the menu, but nothing else. You’ll have to leave the Bronx to find buffalo wings, salads, or delivery – but after one bite of their artichoke pie or white stone, you’ll forget why you wanted to leave.
This is the best pizza i have tasted on the west coast. It truly takes me back to the bronx. The service may seem rude, but it only adds to the whole bronx thing. My favorite is the basic pepperoni and cheese, but all of their pizzas are outstanding.
Now I have to start by saying I am not a huge pizza fan. For some reason, it never really settled well with me, nothing spectacular. I know it may sound weird, but it is true. So why do I crave Bronx Pizza you ask? Once you try it, you will to. Their Whitestone pizza is so yummy it is near impossible to not crave it. The thin crust pizza right out of the oven made with mozzarella, ricotta, garlic and parmesan, makes the Whitestone is near perfection. You can order by the slice (only $2.50!) or a whole pie. The menu includes many toppings and different speciality pizzas, so the combinations are basically limitless.
