Brazen BBQ was created by two young chefs, whom each have unique culinary experiences and expertise. Their shared aspiration is simple—to redefine the local barbecue experience with the introduction of true southern smokehouse cooking—with a few delicious and extraordinary twists. Having competed in the national barbecue circuit and garnered rave reviews, the two chefs behind Brazen BBQ went on tow in the coveted Rookie-of-the-Year award, finishing in California’s top ten, and the nation’s top 100. Having been tested against some of the nation’s best, the two decided it was time to bring their innovative and award-winning flavors back home by way of Brazen BBQ Smokehouse & Bar and Brazen Catering. Since then, the chefs behind Brazen BBQ have earned multiple awards to date, including California BBQ Association's 2009 Top 10 Team of the Year and 1st place Rookie of the Year. Brazen BBQ serves traditional southern barbecue food but with some new and inventive twists on classics and favorites. There are interesting foods such as Espresso Rubbed Tri-Tip and Fried Crawfish & Jalapeño Bottle Caps, which until trying them, you can not begin to fathom how brilliant they are. There are over six types of meats to choose from and you can be rest assured they are cooked to perfection. The atmosphere in this restaurant is comfortable, fun and friendly so don’t be surprised if you strike up a conversation with your fellow diners.
