Blue Ribbon Pizza
Located in the Lumberyard Shopping Center, Blue Ribbon Artisan Pizza is a local favorite Encinitas neighborhood restaurant that emphasizes organic and sustainable principles, without sacrificing flavor or fun. Known for delicious natural pizza, Blue Ribbon dough undergoes a three day fermentation process, and is fried in a true wood burning oven. In addition, all produce is local and organic, Mozzarella is hand-crafted daily in house, and fennel sausage is also house-made from sustainable Berkshire Pork. A few signature pizzas include the Red Oak with tomato sauce, Mozzarella, Ricotta, La Quercia Rossa Prosciutto and arugula; Americana with tomato sauce, fresh Mozzarella, artisan pepperoni, and Gaeta olives; and My Father’s with tomato sauce, Mozzarella, fennel sausage, pepperoni and red onion. But Blue Ribbon isn’t only about the pizza; we are obsessed with their diverse assortment of organic appetizers, including the Albacore Tuna Crudo with Haas avocado, ruby grapefruit and lemon olive oil; and Chilled Calamari Salad with pea tendrils, preserved lemon and black pepper aioli.
