The first seafood and oyster bar to inhabit the Historic Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego isn’t your ordinary restaurant. Here it’s first class, all around with tantalizing appetizers including the Griddled Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Spicy Thai Calamari as well as famous lobster bisque and Manhattan Clam Chowder.

Tempting dinner entrees include the grilled Hawaiian ahi with wild mushrooms and ginger butter, citrus-marinated swordfish with citrus emulsion, and roasted rack of lamb served over a cassoulet of white beans, mergeuze sausage, braised field greens and oven-dried local tomatoes.

Don’t let other waterfront restaurants fool you! Blue Point Coastal Cuisine has the expertise and ambience when it comes to waterfront dining.

The food was pretty good. A little overpriced for the portion you get. The shrimp and lobster pot stickers, and spicry mediterranean calamari is great for appetizers!
Conclusion

It takes forever to get a table so I suggest you make reservations online or ahead of time. Parking in downtown is horrible, but you can always do valet which is pretty expensive. It's worth it if you're too lazy to find a parking spot.

Kind of nitpicky but a fishtank was right in my line of vision, and was a bit distracting.

I had the soup of the day (cream of celeraic with truffle oil) and the citrus swordfish, and LOVED both. It was busy but the service was still excellent - attentive without being obtrusive.
Conclusion

If you're in San Diego and looking for seafood, you must go here!
