Blue Coral is an upscale seafood restaurant packaged into the Aventine Center in La Jolla. A meal at Blue Coral is a true celebration of fresh, simple seafood at its best. The highest quality of seafood is prepared with careful finesse and presented with a fresh, pristine glow. Popular on the menu are Blue Coral's Atlantis, Tuna Carpaccio, Maine Lobster en Fuego, Crab Trio, Lobster Mac n' Cheese, and Caviar Service with Stoli Elit Vodka.
A contemporary interior seats guests in oversized seashell-inspired booths while a new outdoor lounge allures guests for happy hour cocktails in the twilight. Blue Coral takes an innovative stance on seafood paring--forget the wine, bring on the vodka. An irredescent wall boasts 60 specialty vodkas from all around the world. From imaginative cocktails to accent your dish, to intoxicating displays of fruit infused vodka flights--Blue Coral is no ordinary seafood destination.
Happy Hour: Five appetizers, one culinary cocktail or one wine by the glass, all five dollars each.
Happy hour menu selections include steamer clams, fresh soft-shell clams steamed in white wine, butter and garlic, served with garlic bread; sliders made from beef tenderloin, with balsamic shallots and garnished with Fuji apple slaw; alder-smoked salmon terrine, with club crackers and house-made pickles; dam dam shrimp, crispy white shrimp in a Thai chili sauce; and golden “town dock” calamari, tossed in a peanut tamarind sauce. Wine and spirit selections will rotate on a regular basis. Items will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m on the Blue Coral patio and in the bar and lounge area.
