Editorial Review of Beaumont's

Voted Best New Restaurant in San Diego by both San Diego Homes and Gardens Magazine and La Jolla Light Newspaper, Beaumont’s has excellent fusion dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast, the Carne Asda Benedict with avocado and cilantro Hollandaise sauce represents the ultimate taste of California Cuisine, combining classic upscale dining with a unique flair that's all San Diego. The guy's fries manage to make classic French fries new and exciting again with blue cheese and basil aioli sauce. For dinner, there are few things closer to perfection than the Passion Fruit Glazed Short Rib served with blue cheese fondue and a Polenta Souffle. Always save room for dessert as well, with flavorful sweets like the key lime cheesecake flan with blueberry compote. Next time you're in Bird Rock, stop by Beaumont's for a delicious change of pace.

Added 03/02/09 La Jolla's hidden gem!

After a day at the beach, my boyfriend and I wandered around downtown la jolla looking for a nice but not too fancy place to grab some good food. we ended up in bird rock and found a not too crowded restaurant called Beaumont's...I am so glad that we stumbled upon this place. the complimentary bread and butter was in fact not the usual bread and butter, but rather bread and this DELICIOUS red pepper dip that I'm currently trying to create at home. we also shared some super tender short-ribs that were cooked to the perfection. Service was friendly and the place wasn't too loud or crowded.

Added 03/01/08 So great!

This restaurant was above and beyond what I expected...I would definitely recommend it! I went with my sister and we were ravenous...as soon as the bread came we devoured it and it had an incredible red pepper dip to go along with it--perfect! Instead of getting entrees, we each got salads and "tastings" aka appetizers. Their tastings were really unique and varied. I got the three beat salad with goat cheese and almonds, and then had butternut squash gnocchis, which were unbelievable! My sister got the white pizza with spinach and cheeses and it was also incredible! We both had desserts, she had the chocolate lava cake that was mediocre, but my warm gingerbread cake with pumpkin ice cream and fruit was BEYOND amazing. Not only was the food amazing, but the servers were incredibly friendly, and the hostess started off our meal on an excellent note with her perky and friendly attitude. For the quality of the food we received, the prices couldn't be beat. I would easily recommend this place to any one of my friends.
