I ate some amazing "home-made" style flat bread pizza's and a salad with green apples...wow, everything was so good. And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, the waiter brought out some samples of their desserts...WOW! Get the carbomb cake!

Barley lives up to it's prime location, with a completely refurbished interior sporting brick and wood, a common, yet cozy, San Diego style. Inside is airy; A corner spot accentuated by HUGE widows, allowing patrons a view of SD's wild (and often weird) Gaslamp Quarter. Drinks are easy to come by as the "Mash" features a massive bar, centering the establishmnet. And speaking of, our group took it upon ourselves to sample several of the custom cocktails. Each one was unique, refreshing, and delicious. I can definitely see Barley Mash becoming a fast favorite for the the downtown scene, fitting nicely between the posh eats of Searsucker and the everyman casual encounter of Gaslamp Tavern or Whiskey Girl.
