Located right in the fun, friendly Hillcrest neighborhood, just outside of Balboa Park, Babycakes has turned the food world on it’s head. Best known for their eye-grabbing gourmet cupcakes, custom cakes, including a peanut butter and jelly version, and all sorts of other cookies, tarts, and treats, the hardest part of each visit is narrowing down your order. Take a seat on their large, outdoor garden patio to enjoy a cupcake or a coffee. The patio is complete with eclectic decorations, much like the inside, aiming to make you feel comfortable and allowing the stress of the day to melt away as you bite into one of their signature desserts. However, pastries aren’t the only things Babycakes is capable of, inviting locals to stop by a little early on the weekends to enjoy an equally fabulous brunch. Lunch is also available seven days a week, perfect for a quick stop on a work break. Babycakes in Hillcrest offers unforgettable food fare in a uniquely decorated environment that screams fun and friendly.

Wow what a hot spot on Sundays. This place was jumping and fun. Stopping in for happy hour was the best way to end the weekend.
