Editorial Reivew:

The casual sophistication of Avenue 5’s menu reflects the signature interior. A welcoming bar and lounge area greets guests as warm colors and materials soothe the scene. The banquette-lined dining room offers guests comfort and intimacy while a collection of inviting tables and chairs are generously spaced through the middle of the restaurant. Avenue 5 also features a full bar with an international wine and beer selection accompanying signature cocktails and top shelf spirits.
Chef MacLaggan is not alone in this venture down Avenue 5. Joined by long-time friend and hospitality guru, Nicholas Carbonne, the two will combine expert knowledge of dining and hospitality to provide Avenue 5 guests with excellence in cuisine and service.

swtiching menus

after receiving the "Happy Hour" menu at the table from the woman seating people and giving our order to the waiter from the "Happy Hour" menu while sitting at the table and holding it our hands...we were charged the regular (huge) prices...when protesting to the manager, his comment was that we couldn't have ordered from that menu because that is only for people sitting at the bar ! Perhaps he should so inform his staff so they can inform the customers. He adamently insisted we pay the full price which we did only because we were trying to get to a theater performance. He said as we left, "Thanks for being so understanding. Next time you come, be sure to see me and I'll do something nice for you." I hope he is holding his breath. What an example of how not to run a restaurant and improve customer relations.

Wonderful!

This is a wonderful new restaurant with excellent service, food and ambiance. I live in the area and am ecstatic to have such an all-around great restaurant nearby. The happy hour prices super affordable as are the lunch and dinner menu ones. I highly recommend the duck confit and the wild mushroom tortellini dishes. Both are amazing!
