AVE 5 is a casually refined restaurant and bar conveniently located in San Diego’s Historic Bankers Hill District, an area bustling with the finest culinary offerings and within walking distance of Balboa Park, museums, and theaters. Chef owner Colin MacLaggan, along with brother Brian MacLaggan and team, have cultivated a unique space where they serve locally grown, seasonal fare. The restaurant features regional dishes to suit an array of appetites, award-winning Sunday brunch, power business lunches, daily happy hours, craft cocktails made with fresh ingredients and one of San Diego’s few molecular bars. AVE 5’s kitchen is open at 5 p.m. with the last seating at 10 p.m., Tuesday – Sunday. The bar remains open after the kitchen closes every night. On Thursdays and Sundays, diners will enjoy live music during dinner. Lunch will be served Tuesday – Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday brunch will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
