Editorial Review: (View User Reviews)

Refined and elegant, Addison offers an ever-changing, four-course experience that emphasizes French cuisine with local ingredients. Replete with richly appointed armchairs, carved wood detailing, fireplaces, and vaulted ceilings, the environment is rich, luxurious and yet comfortable. In the wine room, situated in the middle of the main dining area, guests enjoy a stunning view of the 2,500 bottles of wine, hailing from Australia and New Zealand and collected by Wine Steward Jesse Rodriguez. Guests choose three dishes from the entrée selections complemented by one sweet dish, and may also add a fifth course from the tableside cheese service, which includes some of the finest cheeses in America and Europe. The Addison four course menu is priced at $95 per person.

This is where you want to go if you want a truly fine dining experience... ambiance, extaordinary service and fabulous food. We ordered the chef's selected 6 course meal which provided some of the most amazing treats for the palete, delightfully presented. This is no place to go if you are in a hurry. Our dinner took 3 relaxing delicious hours. Highly recommend if you want to impress...or be impressed!

If there was ever a restaurant that would finally offer a safe haven to Foodies and Wine lovers in San diego and Del Mar area and do it with style it would be Addison. I dined there just this last weekend for a friend's birthday. To be honest I was not quite sure how it would turn out and I had the price tag in mind. But by the time all was said and done they gave us about 4 free "courses" and i made sure that we weren't being treated differently. Everyone gets these. The best one was the Gougere filled with Mascarpone cheese. My girlfriend loved the free "pre-dessert." I have never heard of a pre dessert before and now I kinda want to expect one at every fine dining place I go to. It was great. I ordered the mussels, the foie gras and the lamb and my girlfriend had the Wild Leek Soup and the Sablefish and the Duck. Everything was perfectly done and it tasted like the leeks were just picked that day. The server said that they get the leeks from just a few miles away from someone's personal farm. How cool is that. I mean home grown!! Nice thing is that we left full and we werent the youngest people in the place. I am 27 and my girlfriend is 24 and there were people our age dining as well. I figured with such a nice dining room it might be stuffy and for older people but their music was fresh and new, their staff was amazing and we generally had a great time. I would whole heartedly recommend Addisons to anyone who wanted to have an amazing dinner and get a lot of bang for your buck. They arent cheap, but you could easily spend the same amount as we did and somewhere like Mille Fleurs or Mister A's and not even come close to what they did for us. It was like an epiphone. Totally awesome. Loved it.
Conclusion

Best place to dine in San Diego or Southern California.
