Acqua al 2
Italian cuisine has never been so accessible. With only two locations; Florence, Italy and San Diego, Aqua al 2 is a special treat for San Diegans. Acqua Al 2 is located in the Gaslamp Quarters in Downtown San Diego and is open nightly beginning at five o’clock in the evening. Adorned with wine bottles and photographs of Florence, the atmosphere resembles an upscale Italian café.
What makes Acqua Al2 so unique is that the same creative Tuscan cuisine and warm hospitality that made the original restaurant in Florence so famous has been brought to San Diego. The Executive Chef, from Florence, spent seven months in San Diego training the staff in the recipes and techniques prior to opening this restaurant. With such intensive and purposeful training, you are sure to get the most authentic taste of Italian food.
Bearing virtually the same menu as its sister location, San Diego’s Aqua al 2 is true to its Italian roots with authentic two-course meals. A wide selection of pasta begins the meal followed by marinated chicken, veal or steak. A customer favorite, the Filetto ali’Aceto Balsamko is a hand carved fillet mignon bathed in balsamic vinegar glaze. Visitors also rave over the imported wines list and dessert menu. A popular favorite, the Assaggio di Dolci is a sampler of four different homemade Italian desserts, a good option when everyone at the table wants something different.
Downtown San Diego opens its arms to culturally diverse restaurants, and as a result Aqua al 2 brings Italian zest to our city. Buon Appetito!
