Listing Details: Previously known as the San Diego Sports Club, this venue has taken on a new style and approach since changing ownership. The Ruby Room can now be accessible for any interest. It features only three or four pool tables in the room adjacent to the bar – perhaps a throwback from its life as a sports club. Going to this club any day can bring you something unexpected. Their events range from live bands and/or DJs to fashion shows. The interior is dark and somewhat secretive, with a private area parallel to the bar. The entire location is unintentionally separated into three rooms. First, the bar area, then the pool tables and behind thick curtains, the stage and dance floor; this is good for anyone who likes to enjoy music, without the loud bustle of bartenders and customers. The drink prices are no more than what could be expected for the area. Finding the venue may prove a little difficult at first, thus making the parking a real challenge, but one time there will keep it in memory for good.
