For a smaller store they offer a great selection of fish including angelfish, betta, black arowana, bichirs and L-46 zebra plecos. On top of these tropical fish, other categories of animals are birds, dwarf hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits. Added 12/19/12 Superb service and tropical fishes

I've been going to Pet Zone Tropical Fish for years (since a kid actually). The only place in San Diego that genuinely cares about fish and not just trying to make a buck. Great selection of freshwater fish and many good brands at good prices. Thumbs up.

Best tropical fish store in So Cal. Way better selection of fish to choose from then other large chains such as Petco. Fish are always beautiful and never sick, they take great care of their tanks and filters!
