Tropicoso brings Latin culture and nocturnal diversity to Pacific Beach. Many Garnet groupies abandon Moondoggies, Tavern, and other nightlife staples to indulge in southern spirits at Tropicoso. Tropicoso's typical crowd is a mixture of Salsa and Samba dance fanatics and Pacific Beach socialities eager for a new vibe. Although Tropicoso isn't the most buzzed about club on the Garnet strip, locals recognize the wild tropical scene that murals the exterior. San Diegans travel to Tropicoso for one main event: dancing. Tropicoso hosts Latin, Brazilian, and Rasta themed salsa, samba, and reggae dance nights with live bands and tantalizing spirit specials.

Tropicoso has fun music, lots of dancing and a different crowd. However, it was reminiscent of Tijuana's party scene.

If you’re into all things Latino, then you gotta check out Tropicoso in Garnet. Great samba music, the drinks are quite cheap, and the mojitos are really good. Hated the fog machines though. What’s up with that? People kept bumping into me, probably because they could barely see through all that fake fog. But it’s still a great place to party.
