The brainchild of Martin Gonzalez, owner and executive chef of Acqua Al 2, Toast Enoteca & Cucina is a popular East Village wine bar that features 400+ wines served by the glass, by the bottle or from innovative wine dispensing Enomatic machines. These unique self-serving machines are the hot new trend in local wine bars. In addition to world premier wines, Toast serves a diverse spread of gourmet Italian bites. A few of our favorite dishes include Bistecca Al Ferri E Tartufo Nero – Grilled Hanger Steak served on fresh arrugla and topped with flakes of black truffles “NEWS”; Pollo Arrosto Al Funghi – Oven roasted Chicken served on top of sautéed mushrooms; and Pizza Al Prosciuto – Pizza with pomodoro sauce, mozzarella and prosciutto di parma.
