Editorial Review of The Tap Room

The Tap Room is an upscale sports bar located on Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach. The Tap Room boasts multiple flat screen TVs in addition to a screen projector and a classic juke box. Although The Tap Room doesn't offer a full bar yet, their beer selection certainly compensates for it. The Tap Room features 32 of locally brewed beers on tap. Local liquid celebrities include specialty brews by Karl Strauss, Pizza Port, Stone, Ballast Point, Ale Smith, Coronado Brewing Co., and Green Flash. The Tap Room provides local and visiting sports fanatics with classic sports bar grub, such as pizza, sub sandwiches, salads, and a wide selection of appetizers.

Added 06/15/07 The best bar in S.D.

The Taproom in P.B. has to be the best bar i've been to in S.D. They have 10 plasma tv's, great customer service and excellent food. They serve great beer and the majority of it is all local brew. I would recommend Taproom to anyone who is looking to have a good time, good bear and a great atmosphere.

Haven't been to The Tap Room, so I'm just echoing what my friend said about this place. The beer selection is great. He didn't go ga-ga over the food, but he did like the grilled chicken salad and the reasonably priced pizzas. He was just annoyed with the gaggle of teenage kids that regularly hang around the place. Not really sure why, but you know how most kids are today.
