The Ould Sod
As the third oldest licensed establishment in San Diego, The Ould Sod is a local Irish pub that is much more than just a place for cocktails. Current proprietors Tommy Quinn, Ron Stout and Mick Ward transformed the bar into a place where Irish culture can live, knowledge of sports combine with the joy of watching and charity fundraising events can take off behind these brick walls. Happy Hour is from Monday to Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. for $2.75 well drinks and 20 oz Imports for $4. Sundays are 20 oz Imports all day, while Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 to close features free jukebox and only a quarter for your third drink. Entertainment varies by the day of the week. On Thursdays and Saturdays they offer karaoke, Traditional Irish Music on Tuesdays and live bands perform on Friday. With “Cead Mile Failte” (a hundred thousand welcomes), the Ould Sod prides itself as San Diego’s Most Authentic Irish Pub.
