Editorial Review: (View User Reviews)

The once iconic lesbian bar of the neighborhood, known as The Flame, is now the premier pan-gender gay club on the block. The Flame features two full bars complete with shirtless bar backs, a hi-tech deejay booth spinning the latest hip hop jams, and a rotund bed in the back for easy lounging. The dance floor in the front is spacious enough to get lost in among the many fog machines and laser lights shooting across the room. However, the comfy lounge beyond the dance floor is exclusively reserved for those who rather not groove to the beat.

There is a cover fee of $5 at the door, but cheap drinks more than make up for it. With high-energy music in the background and young people looking to hook up, The Flame is a place where you find a date--and not a place to take one.

I have been a regular at the club for a while now. Musics great the drinks are...well, just drinks nothing great, the bartenders are pretty nice but obviously working for their tip. They have some overbearing idiots for security that take their job way too seriously. I was roofied one night at the club and after I woke up I couldnt remember a thing except my 1st 2 drinks. I went to the hospital and they did find date rape drug in my system but the rape kit was negative. I went back to the club tonight because again, im a regular. The security had the audacity to deny me entrance because last time they had to carry me from the club. They even asked me if I had taken any pills or drugs. Now mind you, I have never touched any sort of drug in my life even pot. Nothing. Why am I, the victim, being punished for somthing I did not do? I should sue.

Lame Flame

I am Sooo tired of San Diego's Boring nights there is No friday night Hip Hop spots, all the spots are lame on fridays, and when the clubs play hip hop they play the outdated stuff, and the new stuff they play is what is heard on the radio LAME!! a good DJ plays other songs on the lates Album of a particu;ar artist but I guess in San Diego they dont know that, as far as The Flame goes, last time I was their they had more staff than Party goers LAME!!
