Tucked behind a modest Vons in a Clairemont strip mall lies one of the best Irish pubs in San Diego. The Blarney Stone in Clairemont has all the great Irish brews on tap, including Guinness, Harp, Bass, and many others. They have live coverage of rugby, hurling, and soccer, as well as more familiar sports like football and baseball. The Blarney Stone hosts live music seven days a week, with Sunday reserved for open-mike performances and Tuesdays exclusively for traditional Celtic music. There is no food served here, but the staff is known to allow patrons to have pizzas delivered.
