Added 06/09/08 Fun for All Ages

I wanted to take my family somewhere nice, yet casual to drink wine. My Family enjoyed every minute from my Grandmother enjoying the Cabernet from Argentina to my Father drinking the Bavarian Lager - everyone had a fabulous time!! Even my little brother had the opportunity to learn about wine to impress his girlfriend. This is a perfect place to take your friends and family to relax, hang out and enjoy wine from all over – not just the California stuff.

Tango Wine in San Diego

We attended the Paraiso wine tasting last night at Tango and had a great time. We tasted 6 wines and there was plenty of cheese and crackers as well as other snacks. The price was a very reasonable $15 especially considering these wines ranged from around $15 - $35 and our pours were very generous. The staff at Tango is very friendly and knew alot about they wines. The selection on the retail side was very diverse and great prices. Tip: There is no corkage fee so it is great to get a group of friends and several bottles to try different wines. They will even create an impromptu tasting for you.

Added 06/09/08 Most warm and inviting wine bar in San Diego

I have been inhabiting Tango Wine since it opened and love the casual and warm atmosphere. I liked it so much I "volunteered" to work there one night a week - not that it feels much like work. It is a great place to meet friends after work for a drink or on the weekends to kick start the night with a glass of wine before dinner. Only problem I ever had is that I was having so much fun I never made it to the next destination! Whether you are looking for a place to watch the play off games, or just listen to music and work on your laptop, Tango provides just the right spot to be comfortable with your own form of entertainment. No one says you can't have a glass of wine in the afternoon - afterall it is 5 o'clock somewhere! See you at Tango ....

Added 01/02/08 Tango Wine San Diego

I had been receiving the newsletters from Tango Wine and never unsubscribed because they were always fresh and funny. With that I decided to take my family who were in from Chicago for a glass of wine. Three hours later we are still there having an amazing time. Friendly, fun and they know there wines. Thanks for adding to our holidays!

You Commented on the Wrong Tango

I think the reviewer above has the wrong Tango as they are not a restaurant. The restaurant one (and they are not related) is up in Escondido.

Not very good for what it is..

Very disappointed by our meal at Tango. Don't waste your money there.
