Similar to the bars you would only find in big cities like New York or San Francisco, Small Bar brings all that and more straight to San Diego. This new University Heights joint features an array of 42 handles of some of the finest beers on the planet ranging from the lighter notes such as Avery White Rascal and Franziskaner Hefe-weisse to the darker selections such as Stone 12th Anniversary Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout and Brewdog Zeitgeist Black Lager. Small bar also boasts an eclectic menu ranging from hefty burgers and NY-style steak sandwiches to Circus Dogs and Beer Mac n’ Cheese. Head into Small Bar on Sundays for brunch from 10 am to 2 pm. From biscuits and gravy with hops sausage to French toast dipped in orange-lemon egg batter topped with blueberries and whipped cream, it’s hard to say no. Oh, did we mention they also make a killer Bloody Mary?
