What light through yonder window breaks? Why, it’s the Shakespeare Pub and Grille, located in a sort of hilltop tree house south of Old Town. An authentic pub of the isles, its rough wooden walls are populated by ex-pats and those who love them at every possible hour. Don’t be afraid to get your fingers dirty; although not as grungy as a real Brit pub, Shakespeare’s Pub is not a place for the prissy.
Genuine pub grub is served by the grill—we’re talking shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, a ploughman's plate, and fish and chips. Order a cosmopolitan, and be laughed out the door. What’s really on the menu is beer, beer, and beer, and more beer on the side. At the end of the night, parting is such sweet sorrow, but you can bet these British blokes will be back tomorrow.
