While the dining room at Scalini’s attracts a well-heeled and high-heeled clientele, the restaurant’s large lounge draws those looking for nighttime liveliness in an area where the nightlife is nil. Expectedly, those partying at the bar are usually just as moneyed as the diners—often more so, especially when they’ve come straight from the Del Mar Racetrack.

During the day, patrons enjoy views of brilliantly colored hot air balloons soaring past the massive windows, while they nibble at elegant entrees. But by night, the color is inside. Jon Sanoval, Scalini’s headlining entertainer, keeps revelers coming back for joyful tunes over Sapphire tonics and Grey Goose martinis, the perfect atmosphere for cheerful camaraderie.
