Editorial Review of Palm Court Lounge

The Palm Court Lounge is the Hotel Del Coronado’s home base for nighttime celebrations. Live piano tunes tickle the air nightly: jazz, classical and Frank Sinatra hits, setting the mood for sipping stiff martinis amidst mahogany-colored luxuries.

The crowd is usually older and distinguished, though young lovers honeymooning at the hotel are a staple on weekends. Seating is deep and comfortable. Although early in the afternoon the lounge serves Victorian high tea, by evenings the potions concocted are much stronger.
