The bar at Pacific Del Mar offers a fresh nightlife alternative to the Gaslamp club scene, without sacrificing any prestige or nocturnal allure. The popular seafood restaurant erupts each night, when happy throngs pack into the Pacifica Bar. The populace is distinctively Del Mar: tanned, moneyed, and attractive. Stylish enough to rival any Gaslamp night spot, the space features a multicolored, floor-to-ceiling light show, contemporary art, and an eighty-foot chandelier that shapes the outline of Pacifica's gorgeous serpentine bar. Every night a short happy hour offers $1 off drinks and half off all tapas and all martinis are $5 on Wednesdays. Popular Pacifica martinis are the Meyer Lemon Drop with freshly squeezed Meyer lemon juice, Ketel One Citron Vodka and Honey Syrup, also the Poached Pear Martini with freshly muddled bosc pear, Absolut Pear Vodka, splash of Midori and ginger-sugar rim, and the Kiwi-Tini with freshly muddled kiwi, Ketel One Vodka, squeeze of fresh lime juice, and a splash of Midori.
