Pacific Beach Ale House

What was once Taylor’s, has now become a more upscale restaurant and bar. Yet, despite the new and improved look, Pacific Beach Ale House has managed to retain the casual vibe of the beach. With a location on the intersection of Grand Avenue and Mission Boulevard, the recent opening of Pacific Beach Ale House has received a warm welcome. Owner Eric Leitstein's newest project boasts an indoor and outdoor bar, outdoor fireplace, roof top seating and a phenomenal view of the ocean. The restaurant's stone and green-dyed wood architecture suggests a cozy ski lodge, while the interior seems like a great place to grab a beer and watch the game on their many flat screen televisions.
With meat-heavy meals like fish and chips, baby back ribs and steak sandwiches, Chef Carlton Greenawalt also interpreted some classics, such as lobster macaroni and cheese and popcorn lobster lettuce wraps. The Ale House even flaunts its own brews, made by in-house Brew Master Erik Jenson. For a few beers after a long Monday, the Pacific Beach Ale House will hit the spot.
