Minus One Lounge is now the new San Diego Sway Lounge.
Downtown San Diego's Italian-inspired boutique hotel, The Keating Hotel, takes the commitment to custom designed vault ceilings one step further with the luxurious lounge, Minus One Lounge. The Keating Hotel's nightlife vibe stirs from within Minus One. Hotel guests and locals join together to enjoy dining, cocktails, and fine Italian wines. Minus One Lounge, in essence, is an upscale wine bar housed in an arresting red brick structure, filled with Pininfarina Italian wines.
The subterranean lounge atmosphere reflects old-world Italian charm in a new-age ultra-modern setting. The semi-private nature of The Keating Hotel's lounge enables guests to choose their own scene: drink, dine, mingle, dance, or indulge in VIP bottle service. European passion and signature San Diego character mix at Minus One Lounge at the Keating Hotel, and the results are truly intoxicating.
This spot is ultimate. The club is laid back and hip at the same time. It's never too crowded, but it's always happening. I love the interior, as it was designed by the same firm that does Ferarris. Plus, there are some really comfortable couches here for when you feel like kicking back.
Really killer bar in Gaslamp....a very laid back place with awesome decor, the bar has a very high-tech feel
I was sceptical about this place because of the rude guys guarding the door, but once i got in that all changed. This underground club had terrific music with a kind of metro vibe with the entire place bathed in sensual red lighting. The people were friendly and the service was good. This is a good place to relax and hangout or dance and socialize.
I had a blast! It seemed like this place gave off a multi-mood atmosphere. The layout of this place was elegant, modern, vivid, & red! I loved it. It's a club that still embodies that lounge feel. Can't wait to go back.
From the beautiful decor to the beautiful staff and then to the beautiful people who take part in the experince that goes on the nights that its open. A place where it has feel good music for feel good people. A place where unique trends and backgrounds meet. This place has it all. It opens at 5pm and closes at 4am on fridays and saturdays so it feels like your in another state, we know which state that would be. If you havent been, come enjoy and take part in the experience that will last a lifetime.
I do reccomend Minus 1 Lounge on Thursday nights. There is one complaint I have. The managers/bouncers/promoters of the place are horrible. They try to hype up the spot by making people wait 30min outside for no good reason. They dont understand that SD has a 1:30am cut-off on alcohol, half an hour outside will result in people spending their money elswhere
No doubt you may pay a little more, but the experience in Minus -1 is unparalleled when you consider the designer, the brains and the energy that went into creating the first hotel in the world to become part of the Pininfarina tradition. Awesome bar, the most confortable sofas, and really great food. GET READY FOR THE NEW RESTAURANT the Merk!
Very chic atmosphere. I loved the setup. The music was great but there were hardly any people there.
That's my absolutely favourite club in San Diego downtown. What a location... Guys this club is huge and lot of fun. the drinks and the music are insane.. if you wanna go clubbin' in San Diego, the Minus 1 Lounge is the right spot to go.
