Kadan flaunts an alternative dive bar scene. Replace classic rock and biker crews with punk, electronic, and machine funk beats and indie scenesters of all generations. Then, remove pool, shuffleboard, and darts, and replace them with an unreal chess scene. Antique swords, shields, and Queen and Rook figurines serve as "décor" for the abstract, mellow, and inviting bar atmosphere. Kadan attracts much of the AC Lounge overflow with eclectic live music, spacious surroundings, and no cover charge.
