Del Mar isn’t exactly renowned for their nightlife, and yet the community is home to one of the best sports bars in the county. Though not nearly as colossal in size as Players or Seau’s, Jimmy O’s compensates with good times and a more courteous crowd.
Though the sports bar never lacks for patronage, it’s especially busy during racing season, when happy winners and their entourages cram inform the nearby Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. It’s best to arrive early and grab a chair before they’re removed for dancing. Evening munchies like the asiago cheese and chicken quesadilla, the Cajun cheeseburger, and the teriyaki ahi are a great foundation for a long night of drinking.
