Editorial Review of
Hooters of Mission Valley
Although there are other locations in San Diego entertainment hubs Pacific Beach and the Gaslamp Quarter, the Mission Valley Hooters is arguable the franchise’s most popular. The spacious, free-standing restaurant draws in blue and white-collar wingmen like bees to sweet honey. While many of them swear by the discount vats of beer, the wings and drumsticks in varying shades of heat from mild to 911, and the other cheap, down-home eats, it’s no mystery why they’re really there. The restaurant is famous worldwide for its fit, young waitresses clad in tight white tanks, diminutive orange gym shorts, and suntanned nylons, as well as its politically incorrect imagery. All in all, the restaurant channels enough food and fun to entertain every type of patron—except those who are easily offended.
