Editorial Review of
GuestHouse at Stingaree
Stingaree unveiled the results of a complete first floor makeover in June 2011. Wave goodbye to the upscale restaurant décor, massive circular bar, and VIP table-lined dance floor; this three-story hot spot is now keeping things casual-cool down low, channeling a “sexy librarian” vibe at the all new Guest House. With a heavy focus on electro and house music, Guest House’s entertainment lineup reads as a who’s who dossier of headliners from around the globe, peppered with prodigious local talents, offering a rare opportunity for guests to experience world class DJs and the rock stars of today, in an intimate space.
The re-design, made possible by Davis Krumins, suggests an avant-garde library mystique, complete with plush, oversize couches and intimate banquets, scattered bookshelves, antique touches, and dim lighting. Living room-style design elements include painted word search walls, custom lamp shade light fixtures, wingback chairs, shag area rugs, and regal velvet drapery. Regarded by many in the industry as one of the world’s elite, John Lyons designed the audio and lighting within, furthering the sensory experience. Vibey, but with an edge of vigor patrons can expect a high energy, luxe nightlife adventure.
