FLUXX
When FLUXX opened doors in March of 2010, San Diego nightlife was changed forever. FLUXX’s electric color scheme transports party-goers to a playful state of mind and body. The bright white, black, pink, purple and bright blue hues are mixed with such strong, organic textures as faux grass patches, paper flower hanging lights and weathered wood logs. Beyond the natural décor, guests are greeted with an array of modern design elements including a glass display box that acts as a rotating art feature to transform with the theme of the month, circular recessed cut outs in the floor to resemble a modern rock garden, and a 13-foot long cylindrical tunnel that opens to the dance floor. In contrast to the old Aubergine that was divided into several rooms and secluded spaces, FLUXX boasts a 7,000 square-foot open floor plan, featuring a circular dance floor, above which hangs a 15-foot custom rope chandelier. FLUXX takes interactive go-go dancing to the next level with a stage wall along the dance floor showcasing oversize blue, purple, grey and burgundy string art circles designed for dancers and DJs to perform inside.
