Added 04/05/09 DOUBLE DEUCE IS A FLOP!

Double Deuce is not a club that will earn the respect of San Diegans! The bartenders are rude and the bouncers/pathetic excuses for men are filled with testosterone and looking for an altercation. Ryan O'Leary, a staff member, is a coward! Rob Vetere is an under-qualified Manager. Over-all I rate this club a 0! Not only do they disrespect patrons, but they charge you to do so. When visiting San Diego go to IVY, Stingaree, ONYX Room, Confidential, or Red Circle. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT DOUBLE DEUCE! The only way I would return is if they, like Hard Rock, fired all of there staff and started over again.

Red Circle and Confidential??

you obviously have no part in recommending clubs for "San Diegans". Confidential is a resturaunt and lounge at best... pulling in 25 people on a good night. and Red Circle?? Ew. You must have been drunk and kicked out from the Deuce, and calling the staff names because they humilated you on top of you embarrassing yourself. You're kind isn't wanted at that bar anyway, so i'm sure everyone is glad you're not returning... although i have a feeling you've been back since then. LOSER.

Added 08/03/08 Hey, It's Worth Trying Out A New Country Bar In San Diego!!

I planned an outing with my friends. We ALWAYS go to InCahoots. We were so excited to see there was another choice for a country bar in San Diego. We came about 9pm and the place filled fairly quickly. The band, Double Wide (I believe they're called) were terrific! The staff were very, very nice! I was the DD but my friends liked that Jack and Cokes were always $4. Cheaper than InCahoots which shocked me! Cover starts at 10pm and a security guard said it's only $5. That cover price is awesome downtown. The only thing we didn't like is that it was way too loud in the dance area-we were vibrating and the 'dance floor' wasn't slippery enough to be a proper dance floor. I also was a little bummed that the security staff didn't ask the guests who were standing in the middle of the floor to move to make it easier for those who wanted to dance. We hope that the owners continue with the great ideas of entertainment-keep it lively and different! Also, keep it decently priced. I heard from a bartender that there is a plan of getting bottle-service upstairs at the couches. We can find that anywhere downtown. Keep it reasonable prices and see how you will pack the house! More people, more mula for yous guys! Wink!

Added 07/28/08 Loved it!

I went to the Double Deuce for the first time on my birthday with a group of friends and we had a blast! The staff was very accomodating and made the night fabulous. There are so many different areas to hang out in depending on if you want to dance or be at the bar or louge at a table upstairs. I'll be going back very soon!

Rockstar Karaoke

I went to Double Deuce This past Thursday for their "Rockstar Karaoke" and I have to admit that it was fun. It was impossible to hear yourself sing, which made it hard to know it you were on pitch or not, but it was fun. My only complaint was that the song list was a bit thin and too Bon Jovi heavy... The drinks were good and the staff friendly though!

Added 07/14/08 Best bar in the gaslamp!

Lively, fun crowd, freindly service, and GREAT music. The entire bar has such a better vibe than it did as Martini Ranch!

Added 07/09/08 What a rip off

When down for opening weekend and it really sucked. The staff has a ton of attitude and it is over priced. I don't know who wrote the last review sounds like someone who works there. Everyone that I went with said that there are a lot of other places to go in the Gaslamp and wouldn't come back there.

Double Deuce was terrible!!

I just went there last night and it was terrible. They had a mechanical bull that took up a majority of the space for dancing and the staff and the owner were completely rude to my friends. Stay away you'll regret it!!

Monday Night Place to be!

Monday nights has the best live acoustic guitar duo I have ever seen. From originals to famous covers these two rock! I would only go back to see them.
