Editorial Review of
Callahan's Pub And Restaurant
Callahan’s is not a hangout for miserly bone-picking dieters. But those who are willing to hit the gym an extra hour, the extra calories are more than worth it. The jalapeno beer cheese soup is a thick, rich, blistering-hot bowl of heaven. Loosen that belt for the mud pie, a confectionary Everest of sub-zero bliss.
Slightly Irish in atmosphere, Callahan’s attracts families and UCSD co-eds by day, and amusingly rambunctious beer-beasts by night. Truly, the pub is a beery-eyed place, and it’s hard to leave without trying several. In-house brews vary; check the chalkboard for the beers of the week. For the teetotalers, Callahan’s also brews its own refreshing root beer.
