Brick by Brick is a coarse-faced music venue that knows good looks come second to great tunes. Although somewhat recently its owners invested in some plastic surgery, the dive still retains some of its classic grungy, rugged feel. Concert tickets, now available through Ticketmaster, range in price right along with the popularity of booked acts. One night might feature an assembly of local goth-rock acts, and the next might feature a moderately-named band drawing in crowds by the hundreds. Famously, Kid Rock, Korn, and System of a Down once played at Brick by Brick, before they hit the MTV screens. Between bands, a few billiard tables remain for enjoyable time-killing. Youngsters will be saddened to learn that the majority of concerts are twenty-one and up only.
This place rocks, literally! Some of the best up and coming rock bands play here. Naturally, the place can get real loud, so better wear earplugs if rock's not your thing, or you can just hang out at the lounge in the back. The booze is rather cheap too, but parking could be a problem, and the bathrooms could be cleaner.
