207
207 is the swanky Lobby Bar at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. A flash of distant deep red meets the eye as dangling crystal balls communicate an element of intoxicating intrigue. Martini-sipping guests strut about the lounge peering across the centralized bar for adjacent insight. Groups and couples relax in plush black leather booths adorned with simple table-side white candles. Some look to the translucent crystal balls hanging above, and others admire the captivating cocktail menu, perusing their poison of choice. Dark brick columns and acutely exposed brick walls are softened by tall, old-fashion wooden ceilings and dramatic drapes full of flowing tan. Cascading down the center brick columns like lavish icicles are tiny diamond-like gems, illuminated by a solitary light - one of the few in the room. Two large VIP booths are housed in the back of the lounge, a brilliant red escape from the dim, crystal-lined enigmatic saloon. A chic gothic chandelier shines overhead and enhances rays from the dual retro pink lamps cornering the triple-sided red couch. A low-level cocktail table sits atop a gray shag carpet, and blocks of modern red crocodile skin move about to stir conversation amid bottle service.
