Cinco de Drinko? Cinco de Mayo parties

Tequila and tacos rule this weekend in San Diego

It’s common knowledge that April showers bring forth an abundance of tequila and carne asada. It’s time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

Grab some Don Julio to keep you company, maracas for ultimate noise-making and a big ol’ sombrero for statement-making fashion. Okay fine, add a mustache too.

Parties

Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo: This three-day free fiesta takes place from May 2 to May 4 in Old Town. A San Diego tradition since 1983, locals can explore the area surrounded by four live music stages, two cantina beer gardens, a low rider car show and a children’s area. There will also be lively ballet folklorico, a Mercado with handcrafted jewelry and a high-end tequila sampling area. Surrounding restaurants will boast drink and food specials. oldtownsandiegoguide.com
