Remember Gin Fest? If you attended, probably not. And that’s a good thing, considering Hiatus Lounge in Hotel La Jolla started their series of spirits festivals in order to get locals acquainted with the liquor by offering endless cocktails.
Now, they’re doing it all over again. This time, with rum!
The inaugural Rum Fest will take place on Saturday, June 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Hiatus Lounge. Guests can sip up a variety of light and dark premium brands, as well as classic tiki cocktails mixed by head bartender Chris Burkett. Chef Donald Lockhart will provide slow-roasted chicken for an ideal summer meal.
A $10 ticket to the Rum Fest includes a passport for unlimited tastings of brands like Zaya, Plantation, Appleton, Bols and more. Guests with a completed passport can enter into the Rum Fest drawing, which features boozy prizes.
