Comic-Con isn't just about comics anymore. For a long time the pride and joy of comic aficionados, Comic-Con a few years ago began attracting big-name celebrities, Hollywood studios and TV networks.
Now, it appears the music industry wants a piece of the action.
G-Eazy and Linkin Park were previously announced as performers at MTV's Fan Fest on Thursday, July 24. Add to that growing roster MGMT and Grimes, both headed to join the more than 100,000 attendees of the planet's largest pop-culture convention. They will both perform Friday, July 25, aboard the USS Midway at an event sponsored by TNT's "The Last Ship," Billboard has reported.
Last year, Metallica made a surprise appearance to promote the film "Metallica Through The Never."
