Four times through the year, South Park hosts a seasonal walkabout that brings the community to life. The small, independently-owned businesses that make up the vibrant culture extend their hours to provide us nocturnal pedestrians with an array of local shopping loaded with lively entertainment, from 6 to 10 p.m.
On Saturday, March 23, the Wild West Walkabout invites locals to kick up their heels and step into spring. From the boutiques to the galleries and the cafes, stumble upon samples, sales and more. You can even get your feast on at a Beech Street Buckaroo BBQ. Start your walkabout at the info table located on Juniper St. for a 6:30 p.m. walking tour. For easy cruising, a free trolley will run from Juniper St. to Grape St. to Beech St.
Nestled between Golden Hill and North Park, South Park is home to some of the most charming of businesses, including Alchemy Restaurant, Big Kitchen Café, Café Madeleine, Crow Thief, Salon on 30th and Graffiti Beach.
