Is everyone always saying you make the best fish tacos? Or chocolate chip cookies?
Perhaps it's time to let true culinary professionals weigh in on your most delicious recipe.
"The Taste," an ABC reality cooking competition, will be casting for its second season in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 29, 2013. Both professional and amateur cooks are invited to bring their best dish to the tryouts, where it could eventually judged by hosts (and producers) Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson. There's no word yet on whether last season's winning chef and San Diego's own Brian Malarkey will be back.
The casting happens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Art Institute of California in Santa Monica. Applicants need to pre-register, bring a photo of themselves and their dish, a resume and the dish itself.
If you haven't seen the show, "The Taste" features Bourdain and Lawson (as well as two additional, yet-to-be-named judges) coaching teams of professional and amateur cooks to see who makes the best food. Each episode feature team and individual challenges complete with elimination rounds.
