'The Bachelor' Wants San Diego Women!

When watching “The Bachelorette” Monday night on ABC, did you stop and think: How did Desiree send Zak W. home? I could totally see myself happily ever after with him. And we could paint and write songs and get spray tans together.

If you’ve fallen for Zak, or for any of Desiree’s men this season, here’s your chance at sloppy seconds-love, or at least, your shot at reality TV fame. ABC is holding an open casting call for season 18 of “The Bachelor.” And, based on ABC’s pattern, the new bachelor will be a fan favorite that Des sends home.

The San Diego open casting call for “The Bachelor” is taking place Friday, July 26 at Paradise Point Resort & Spa on Mission Bay. According to the press release, ABC is looking for: “eligible women who are ready to find true love … who feel they possess the charm, style, class and charisma to become America’s next leading lady.” The release did not specify age limitations.

If you visit thebachelor.warnerbros.com/casting you can preview the application form you will need to fill out on site. You also have the option to submit an application, and a video, online for a jump start in the process. The website states: “Making a video is the best way to show us your personality.”

Who will be the next bachelor? A few options, as of episode 8:

Chris: Still in the running. Des loves how active and athletic he is.

Brooks: Still in the running. Des feels comfortable around him.

Drew: Still in the running. Des calls him “the sweetest man ever.”

Zak W.: Sent home in episode 8, after he said ‘I love you’ and gave a promise ring. (pictured above)

Ben: The self-proclaimed good Christian man and father, who had his morals questioned.

James: Called out for playboy comments while the cameras were off. But, that sparkle in his eye...

Juan Pablo: Come on! She never gave the Venezuelan heart throb a real chance!
