Grammys: Best, Worst Red Carpet Looks

Despite CBS’ request to cover up on the red carpet, music’s biggest stars made heads turn at the Grammy Awards Sunday evening.

Beyonce surprised us with a structured black and white pant suit by Osman Yousefzada, perhaps paying too much attention to the fashion guidelines. Rihanna wowed in a crimson, sheer chiffon Azzedine Alaïa gown. The semi-sheer cross-front teased onlookers, and was offset by a flowing, feminine train. Carrie Underwood also blew us away in a strapless black gown by Roberto Cavalli, paired with a $31 million diamond necklace.

Kelly Rowland stepped out of the Destiny’s Child shadow in a revealing black, sheer dress by Georges Chakra. No see-through, no side boob? Whoops, sorry CBS, but we’re loving the geometric panels and sophisticated tulle skirt. Natasha Bedingfield also played with cutouts in this elegant, on-trend red Emerson gown. The metallic belt balances the feminine vibe.

But of course, not every daring diva aced the red carpet test. Jennifer Lopez channeled Angelina Jolie with a waist-high leg slit. Her black, one-shoulder Anthony Vaccarello dress flirted with desperation. Katy Perry’s mint green ‘70s inspired Gucci gown left very little to the imagination, and definitely kept us “Wide Awake."
