The NFL is officially back in action! San Diegans are well on their way in preparing for fall fun by busting out their Bolts gear. Whether you are a diehard Chargers fan or just a fun loving socialite, Sundays around San Diego are about to heat up as the weather chills out.

If you can’t make it out to Qualcomm Stadium to catch the games live, don’t spend another Sunday home on the couch. There are plenty of hot spots around town to watch the game, make new friends and dig into spectacular food and drink specials. Let’s take an insider’s look at the “it” places to be for 2012 Football Game Day Specials.

Slater’s 50/50 at Qualcomm Stadium

Join the Slater’s 50/50 Crew for a pre-game tailgate during Chargers home games at Qualcomm Stadium. Kick back with their signature burgers and beer provided by Red Hook for just $30 per person. Over two hours of tailgating fun will get fans revved up and well-fed for ultimate cheering.

Thruster’s Lounge in Pacific Beach

If the Seattle Seahawks or Oregon State Beavers are your go-to team, make sure you check out Thruster’s in the heart of Pacific Beach. Thruster’s is a top viewing location for the 2012 season and has plenty of food and drink specials to get you through the games. They will feature $2 Bloody Marys and Mimosas, as well as a brand new Beef & Bird Sliders menu and OSU Mug Club beer specials.

Tavern & Bowl – Various Locations

East Village Tavern, Eastlake Tavern and North County Tavern will all boast game day specials on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. Tailgate Saturdays at all three Tavern & Bowl locations will feature College Football from 9am-9pm with $3.75 Bud Light Drafts or a $12 pitcher, $4.75 Shocktop Drafts or a $15 pitcher and $4 Chilled Fire Eaters. The Blitz Package on Sundays from 9am-9pm at the Tavern locations includes $4 Chilled Fire Eaters, $3.75 Budlight Drafts or $12 pitchers and $4.75 Shock Top Drafts or $15 pitchers. Monday Night Football at all Tavern & Bowl locations will include an authentic jersey giveaway, plus $4 Chilled Fire Eaters, $3 Coors Light Drafts and $10 pitchers or $4 Blue Moon Seasonal Drafts or $14 pitchers.

Whiskey Girl: Over at Whiskey Girl, your football entertainment will be provided along the 28 HDTVs. Head in for Monday Night Football, with specials including half-priced appetizers, $3 wells and drafts, $10 for a half-rack of Whiskey Girl signature ribs or $20 for a full rack. Drink up with the beers on tap!

Tilted Kilt in Mission Valley

Football season celebrations are underway at Tilted Kilt, with early morning breakfast, Bloody Mary and Mimosa specials offered on game-day Saturdays and Sundays. Experience the Scottish flair for NFL Sunday and Monday Night Football with Bud and Bud Light Specials. College football Saturdays offer up Miller and Miller Light and Coors and Coors Light specials, while Thursday Night Football gives way to Miller and Miller Light specials.

Sneak Joint in Mission Beach Sneak Joint is a true beach bar that preaches local lifestyle. During the Kegs & Eggs Sunday Football Brunch, sip bottomless breakfast cocktails and hit up the made-to-order buffet as many times as you can handle from 7am-10am for $17.95 per person or 10am-2pm for $24.95 per person. Cabo Cantina in Pacific Beach

Say hello to a fun and festive San Diego Chargers bar. Chargers fans pack into Cabo Cantina every weekend to enjoy $9.95 bottomless Mimosas from open to 3pm while watching the games on HD satellite flat screen TVs.

Gaslamp Tavern Downtown

Catch your favorite games in the heart of San Diego while enjoying $3 Bud and Bud Light pints and $12 pitchers, $4 Shock Top pints and $12 pitchers, and $4 Bloody Marys and Mimosas.

The Tap Room in Pacific Beach

Kick off game days with breakfast at the Tap Room on Saturdays and Sundays with their wide selection of craft beer. You can enjoy various drink specials while watching the games on 11 Plasma TVs and a 10-foot HD Projector on Saturdays, Sunday and Mondays.
