Since her Grammys sweep, the soulful English singer has been laying low. In late June she announced that she is pregnant and she has curtailed her musical activities as she awaits the birth of her first child.
But Adele did agree to co-write and sing the theme song for the new James Bond movie, "Skyfall," which opens on Nov. 9.
The heavily orchestrated ballad employs musical elements that will be instantly familiar to fans of previous Bond movies. Adele sings with suitable drama. but doesn't overdo it. As always, she delivers her lines with grace and taste.
