Checked the forecast lately? Looks like it's raining beer dinners!
Over a three-day period in mid-December, a trio of ambitious meals will pair brews and foods. The lineup:
Monday, Dec. 10
Green Flash's "Supper Society" opens up the Mira Mesa brewery to a local restaurant -- in this case, the first in this new series, The Smoking Goat. That North Park haven for foodies will bring a five-course meal to the brewery. The reception (hors d'oeuvres with the Flash's Belgian Blonde) begins at 6 p.m. The main course is braised lamb belly served with Grand Cru. You can order tickets ($55 each) and see the full menu here.

Leroy's Kitchen + Lounge will host its first winter beer dinner, a four-course affair designed by executive chef Gregory Chavez. Lost Abbey/Port Brewing, Deschutes and Anderson Valley breweries will have representative brews at the table; the main course is hanger steak from Brandt Beef. Reservations are recommended; dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. and costs $45.

Starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. with carrot three ways and AleSmith's Belgian Small Beer, a fresh course and beer will be served every 15 minutes. The conclusion: cinnamon almond goats milk with caramel, and barrel-aged Speedway Stout. The whole shebang is $85, including tax and a keepsake glass but excluding tip.
